After - Boracay

Hoho... Hubby decided to go to Boracay again this year December before Christmas with friends.
We have Andrew and Jason and their wife in list at this moment.
We plan to depart on Friday night and check out on the following Saturday, 9 days 7 nights.
Cost estimate of the expenses is around RM5~6k this time.
Our last Boracay trip (21st Mar - 1st Apr 09) was about RM7k for 11 days 9 nights.

The Island of Boracay is shaped like a dog bone. It is 8 km long, and 1 km wide at it's narrowest. White Beach and Bulabog beach are the primary and secondary tourism beaches, both located opposite of each other.

Boracay is a tropical island in the Philippines, an hour flight from Manila.
It's 4km long, powder white sand beach and the crystal clear blue water is #1 of the world's best beaches.
It is the most popular beach destination in the Philippines.
Boracay Island is about 7km long, and has several other more remote beaches around the island, as well as Bulabog Beach, which is the best kiteboarding and watersport beach in Asia.
There are all kinds of activities on the island, most famous for the diving, kiteboarding, and windsurfing.
There are many fantastic restaurants on White Beach with food from around the world.
Boracay is above else famous for it's nightlife, with pubs and bars of all kinds that are jumping until very late at night.

Getting There
- By Air:
1. Caticlan Airport is a smaller airport 5 minutes from Boracay. There are domestic flights from Manila and Cebu. A motorized trike will take you to the Jetty Port, less than five minutes away. This is definitely the preferred airport for ease and convenience. Due to the small size of the runway, smaller turboprop airplanes are used.

2. Kalibo Airport is a larger airport 90 minutes from Boracay. This airport that has some international flights, and accommodates larger jet airplanes. An air-conditioned van service will take you from Kalibo Airport to Caticlan for 150 PhP, or by Jeepney for 65 PhP.

Airlines that serve Caticlan from Manila/Cebu (in order of price for early booking)

- By Land:
The Strong Nautical Highway is a both an overland route and a series of Roll-on/Roll-off ferries. The trip is 16-20 hours with stopovers and dependant on sea conditions. It's locally known as the RORO Boracay route. (A/C bus 1500 PhP)

LAND Manila -> Cubao 2 hours
SEA Cubao -> Calapan 2-3 hours
LAND Calapan -> Roxas 2-3 hours
SEA Roxas -> Caticlan 4-5 hours

Getting In
1. Caticlan Airport to Caticlan Port – After getting out of the small airport, there will be a line up of Motor Tricycles. The ride costs 50-100 PhP per trike for the five-minute trip to the port.

2. Caticlan Port to Boracay Port – The Jetty Port has Bangka pump boats that ferry between the Caticlan mainland and Boracay Island from Sunrise to Sunset. There are sometimes ferries after dark, but not reliably so. The Bangka trip is 25 PhP, however non-residents also pay a 50 PhP environmental fee, and a 50 PhP Terminal fee. You need to get these tickets outside the Jetty Port before you enter. The trip from mainland to the island is 20 minutes. If you have heavy luggage, there are porters to assist you at 20 PhP per item tip.

3. Boracay Port to White Beach – Depending on the season, you will arrive at one of two Boracay Ports – Cagban Port in the High Season and Tambisaan Port in the Low Season. The distance from either to White Beach is about ten minutes. There will be a long line of Motortrikes to take you from the port to White Beach. This trip is 60 PhP per motortrike, or 100 PhP if you are foreigner.

4. White Beach – The Motortrikes cannot go to the actual beach, but will leave you on the Main Road with a path that leads down to White Beach. The larger paths have pedal trikes that can take you down to your resort, or you can walk the five minutes. The Motortrike drivers should know the right place to drop you off.

Day 10 (Last Day) - Boracay Trip

An unforgettable lesson in Manila Airport and LCCT... 12 hours of transit between Manila and Penang.

You will never feel the sourness and the bitterness...

I would bring PorZun for traveling again only if my family members is going with us.

After checking out the hotel, 11am. Again, in front of Mango Ray... We will come back again.

Such a beautiful paint... I miss the sea, the coconut tree, the sand, miss everything in Boracay, and also the mango juice :)

What a good weather!

Jetty in Boracay. Good weather and beautiful cloud!

Haha... Hubby managed to have a quick shot for the only sakura along the roadside, during our ride on tricycle. 1130am.

Sleepy PorZun in Caticlan Airport. 1230pm.

Sunburnt baby.... Stop scolding me, ok... His face become smooth as before now.

My pity baby... his face really looked serious. I did apply sun protection for him, but, i also don't know why....

My arm was very tired of holding this little devil...

Hooh... In Manila Aairport, guess how many hours we had to stay there? Gosh!!! 6 hours!

He promised me to leave our footprints in every corner of the world. 4pm, 5 more hours to go!!!

Guess what?! It's CHEESE + VANILA ice cream!
Guess how much?! It's only RM1.20. Bought from the mart in Manila Airport.
It's super duple 'geng'!!! 5pm, 4 more hours to go!!!

hoho... PorZun's milk time. 6pm, 3 more hours to go...

It's damn cold when Q-ing to check in. 630pm...

He ran like a 'horse' in the waiting area.

Day 9 - Boracay Trip

Doing nothing for the whole day...

Sleep, eat, watch TV, laying on the chair on beach, eat again, watch TV again, then go to bed.

I don't like watching TV especially movie.

Unbelievable, i had break my own record that i watched 5 movies during my 9 nights stay :D

If not mistaken, PorZun was watching Little Einstein on Disney Channel, 8am.

Thanks to this little gal to accompanied PorZun and brought his happiness and joyful time during our stay in Boracay. Hope to see her again end of this year :D

Station 1, White Beach, Boracay. 445pm.

On the beach of the most fine sand in the world.

Find a best seat and wait for the sunset! 5pm.

Polices in the island... Hubby said that their pistol is more 'canggih' than police's in Malaysia.

Yum yum... the cheese bread of Julie's Bakeshop. RM0.80/bread.

Day 6 - Boracay Trip

Day 6

Woke up in the early morning, 8am, for photo shooting.

Good weather + clear water + flash gun = great photos!

I love these photos so much... good take!

Hubby will not bring camera for rest of the days to truly enjoy our vacation after captured these satisfied works :D

# 3 Can you see the wave?

# 6 Flash gun at the back.

# 7 With adorable Mica, the granddaughter of the resort’s owner.

# 8 Woo Hoo… Hubby’s sexy look!!!
Oops, this photo is slanted...

I was so worrying that the flash gun might drop into the sea.
But, hubby willing to sacrifice this flash gun in order to captured good photos.

Going to D'Mall after photo shooting, taken in the room, 10am.

Spend my half an hour to walk from Mango-Ray to Jonah's Fruit Shake (the most famous fruit shake in the island, is a must-try from around the blogger and backpacker) in Station 1, 6pm.
Again, it was only 6pm but look like 7pm or 8pm.

Hmm... to me, most of the mango shake that sell in this island are almost the same in taste. Like, Mango-Ray, Smoke, Big Mouth, Hey Jude and... etc. Ichiban!!!
But, Jonah's mango shake is quite cheap, 75peso (RM6) compare to Hey Jude and Mango-Ray which are sold at approximately 130~160peso (RM11~RM14), but not their (Jonah's) food... Yea, is quite expensive as their breakfast is about >RM13 (approximately)...

Sunset in Station 1, 630pm.

Willy's Rock at the back.

Hehe... having dinner in Big Mama's again... 645pm.

Day 5 - Boracay Trip

Day 5 ~ Our sailing day... but not really enjoy :(

Taken in a beautiful morning in Station 1 as there was not much seaweed compare to Station 2.

Hubby got his satisfied work finally… He like this one :D

But I prefer this one :D
Very surprised that I didn’t look fat in the pictures… hehe…

Going to Buy bananas for PorZun in D’Mall …

Yeah… on the sailing boat during sunset. 700peso/hour (RM65).

It’s very dangerous indeed, to bring baby on sailing boat. There is no space for him to sit… Hubby carried PorZun with his sling.

Passengers can only sit on the net as where I sit… It’s very romantic yet dangerous as it moves quite fast on the sea, “a bit” scary :p

I thought I could enjoy the moment with my darling, god knows… the little devil started to cry and wanted to sit with me, *sigh*…

It's a private sailing boat that owned by a foreigner at the back. Cool…

3 of us. Oh ya… My sunglass drop into the sea when I tried to lie down on the net during the sail :)

Station 1 is always fully park by the sailing boat. I would choose to stay in Station 2 again for my 2nd visit (hopefully it will be during our 3rd anniversary on end of this year).

Ebb tide…

My long shadow on White Beach…
You will find no building that taller than coconut tree in the island…

Another satisfied work by hubby :p

Happy boy become darker now… There is two tone colour between his body and hip.

He will takes his tongue out immediately when someone ask him to do so :D
